Getting Around

Take the tram

Sit back, relax and take in the famous sights on a European commuter-style tram. These run along the entire stretch of the coast between Blackpool South and Fleetwood.

The £100m revitalisation of the seafront tramway was one of the first regeneration projects to be completed in Blackpool. The next phase will see it extended inland from the Promenade to Blackpool North Railway station. This tram and train interchange will enable business guests to arrive by train, hop on a tram and move around Blackpool seamlessly throughout their stay.

If you have heard wonderful things about the town’s original heritage trams you can still experience an authentic journey during your stay. The tramway upgrade has enabled the traditional tram cars to remain in operation, so a trip back in time can still form part of your itinerary.

Go by foot

Blackpool is easily accessible by foot. Walking from your accommodation to your venue is a great way to take in the remarkable sea air and experience the unique atmosphere of this much-loved British resort.

Stroll along the South Promenade and enjoy The Great Promenade Show - 10 stunning contemporary art installations, including the iconic Mirror Ball, the haunting High Tide Organ, and The Swivelling Wind Shelters, or take in the Comedy Carpet artwork in the shadow of The Blackpool Tower.

The town centre boasts many pedestrianised areas, making stretching your legs during a conference break an enjoyable, traffic-free experience.
