Visit Blackpool

About Accreditation

Visitors to Blackpool are fortunate that whatever their budget there is a quality establishment to suit every pocket.

Whether you are searching for 5-star luxury, Blackpool really does have it all.

Blackpool’s unique accommodation offer means we are also home to some fabulous niche establishments that cater specifically for the needs of families, couples, people with pets, cyclists and walker.

All our property we promote is nationally accredited by the AA, VisitEngland or Blackpool Approved, meaning that all accommodation featured on our site has been independently assessed against criteria so you are assured quality, we would urge you to consider looking for these signs when booking.

VisitEngland

Star ratings are awarded based on the quality of facilities, services and hospitality. One of our highly trained and professional quality assessors will visit an establishment, working with providers to maximise the potential of the business. Assessments are annual and feedback is given to improve ratings.

AA

AA have been inspecting and recommending hotels for over a century. In collaboration with VisitEngland, VisitScotland, VisitWales and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, we have developed Common Quality Standards for inspecting and rating hotels, guest accommodation and self-catering properties

Blackpool Approved

The Blackpool Approved scheme (accredited by VisitEngland) ensures that a property is “legal, safe and clean”, meets all requirements with regard to health and safety, and also demonstrates good customer practice.

Although it does not give an indication of a property’s quality or facilities, it allows potential visitors to be assured that the accommodation they are considering is a correctly registered and properly-run business.

From the accommodation provider’s perspective, the scheme allows them to become part of a recognised accreditation standard at much less cost and with little intrusion, and requires only a short visit from a local trained assessor
