Starbucks opens new store with iconic Blackpool tower view

A new Starbucks store, operated by 23.5 Degrees, will open in Blackpool today (Friday 21 June), offering an iconic view of the renowned Blackpool Tower and creating 20 new jobs for the local community.

This opening represents another step in Starbucks ambitious plans for growth in the UK, with many more stores planned to bring the iconic Starbucks Experience to more people across the country. 

Gemma Barret, New Store Opening Manager at 23.5 Degrees, said: “We are excited to open our new store and look forward to welcoming the Blackpool community. To celebrate, we will offer colour-changing reusable cups to the first 200 customers.”

“We will also be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on opening morning with our Charity Partner’s, Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary and Blackpool Street Angels, both of which work closely with the local community to provide essential services and support.”

As part of Starbucks ongoing commitment to sustainability, the store has been built to the specification of a Greener Store, to meet 25 required standards across eight environmental impact areas such as energy efficiency, water stewardship and waste diversion. This aims to bring the environmental impact of running the store as low as possible, as Starbucks continues towards its goals of becoming a resource positive company.  

Customers are invited to enjoy Starbucks summer menu, now back at Starbucks stores nationwide. This includes the brand-new Crème Brulée x Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso, Crème Brulée x Cold Brew, Crème Brulée x Brown Sugar Frappuccino® blended beverage, Dragon Coconut Starbucks Refresha® Drink and returning Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresha® Drink. Starbucks® UK proudly serves a broad range of dairy alternative options for free. 

The store has a contemporary design and offers customers the opportunity to enjoy a handcrafted cup of coffee and relax with the comfortable seating and free wi-fi. Customers can also order via the Starbucks® UK App, available for iPhone® and Android™, via Uber Eats. Those looking to recharge while on the go can use the convenient Drive Thru lane.

Starbucks® offers a 25p discount to all customers who bring a reusable cup when purchasing a drink.       

The new store is conveniently located at FY1 5EP Bloomfield Central, Rigby Road and is open from 06:00 – 21:00 Monday to Sunday.
