Iconic character to launch at Pleasure Beach Resort

Families visiting Pleasure Beach Resort in Blackpool can meet the iconic star of a hit Netflix show after he was added to the attraction’s cast of characters.

Pleasure Beach is the only the place in the UK where people can meet Aang, the protagonist from the acclaimed series, Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Aang will be available for character interactions and photo opportunities at the Blackpool park’s Nickelodeon Land throughout the 2024 season.

The rare character hasn’t been available to meet since 2019, but has been re-instated due to overwhelming demand from fans.

Aang’s resurgence in popularity follows the breakout success of the animated Netflix show, coupled with his appearance in gaming phenomenon Fortnite.

As well as meeting Aang, guests can ride the Avatar Airbender ride which sees them spin and soar into the air as they ‘ride the airwaves.’

They can enjoy 12 Nickelodeon-themed rides in total as well as exploring the rest of the Pleasure Beach resort, home to rollercoasters such as ICON and Big One.

Aang, the young and powerful Airbender from the Avatar franchise, captured the hearts of millions with his journey to master all four elements and bring balance to the world.

He joins other Nickelodeon favourites Chase, Marshall and Sky from PAW Patrol, and SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick and Squidward. All characters are available to meet throughout the day at Pleasure Beach Resort.
