Blackpool's New The Upper Deck Restaurant

A stylish new bar and grill is ready to ride the gastronomic waves as Blackpool’s hottest food spot after being unveiled at the town’s local Grosvenor Casino.   

The Upper Deck at Grosvenor Casino Blackpool is setting sail on a new culinary adventure for the venue after a major refurbishment to transform it into a modern dining and entertainment destination.

Named by Blackpool residents after a social media competition, The Upper Deck features Art Deco inspired interiors and sumptuous furnishings creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy an exciting new dining experience.

Quality is at the heart of the modern menu with locally sourced produce from suppliers such as Dukesmoor Steaks including the incredible 36oz Tomahawk Steak which sizzles in front of guest’s very eyes.

Perfectly poured cocktails and an extensive wine list from across the world matches the mouth-watering dishes available for guests with all tastes. And what’s more, those who get the flavour for a night of entertainment can enjoy live sport, entertainment, and gaming to create the perfect night out.

Speaking about the Upper Deck, General Manager of Grosvenor Casino Blackpool, Nik McFadden said: “It’s been a challenging couple of years for everyone in the town but as Blackpool gets ready to enjoy great nights out once again, we’re excited to launch The Upper Deck as part of a major investment to transform the casino into a modern dining and entertainment experience for the future.

“The Upper Deck is a stylish bar and grill where guests can enjoy Art Deco ambience featuring a menu boasting quality food and drink at its heart, but at affordable prices. With bookings open now guests can come and experience everything the casino has to offer.”

A sizzling new food menu

• The 36oz Tomahawk Steak, which is one of the biggest in the Northwest, comes served with triple cooked chips, two sides and sauce. Fillet, T Bone, Ribeye options are also on the cards along with Steak Toppers – perfect for sharing.

• The grills in the casino are also hard at work cooking an array of tasty Beef, Chicken and Portobello Burgers, all topped with a variety of cheeses and garnishes in delightful brioche buns to capture the mouth-watering flavours

• Matching Blackpool’s iconic seaside destination, seafood is a real strength on the menu for both starters and main courses. The Salmon, Dill & Red Pepper Fishcake comes served with chilli and lime mayonnaise and pickled fennel. Pan Seared Scallops served with crispy pancetta, crushed peas, chervil, pea tendrils and soy jus is a great way to get the tastebuds warmed up as a starter.   

• The Upper Deck is a well-balanced menu with an array of vegetarian and vegan options on offer too with enticing main courses of Garden Pea Risotto with parmesan shavings and pea purée and Spiced Cauliflower Steak with pickled beetroot, buffalo mozzarella, pomegranate seeds and chilli and lemon dressing.

Delicious desserts

• For guests with a sweet tooth, the restaurant’s menu is rounded off with a great choice of desserts. Freshly Made Doughnuts, Chocolate Brownies and a selection of some of the best British Cheeses are just some of the options available.

• Wine lovers are also set to hit the jackpot at The Upper Deck with a 52 strong wine list that includes a collection of rare and fine wines from across the world’s regions at an affordable price.

• The Upper Deck is a great place to go experience some of the most premium wines available in the entire Northwest, along with a range of refreshing crafts beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.

Alongside the new restaurant, the refurbishment of the venue features improved gaming areas as well as a new sports lounge that will hit the jackpot for sport fans who can now enjoy some of the best sports viewing in the town and bet live under one roof.

Grosvenor Casino Blackpool is hosting an official relaunch celebration party on Saturday 28 May. Everyone is welcome with live entertainment from Shane Nolan and the Champions League Final on offer.
