Local award-winning paranormal events company Supernatural Events is back with its thrilling and chilling Blackpool Ghost Walks this summer.
This year there are two different tours available and both include the return of the “Victorian Séance” experience in what many have described as one of the town’s most haunted buildings!
Join The Victorian Ghost Hunter, Haunted Blackpool author and founder of Supernatural Events, Stephen Mercer, on a Blackpool Ghost Walk and he will guide you from the Promenade through the town’s streets and lanes stopping at some of Blackpool’s most important (and most haunted) buildings, attractions and outside spaces to hear tales of terror, stories of the supernatural, horrifying hauntings, myth, mystery, the macabre… and maybe even murder!
Blackpool Ghost Walks will feature some new stories along with a few old favourites and, as the finale to the outside walking tours, everyone attending will be invited to join their ghost host for the "Victorian Séance" experience in a room on an upper floor in an old historical building in Church Street; originally the Stanley Arms Hotel, now The Brew Room.
Stephen said, “I, or perhaps I should say The Victorian Ghost Hunter has been hosting Blackpool Ghost Walks for just over ten years. Sadly the tenth anniversary celebrations and tours didn’t really happen last year; but I’m pleased to say the tours are back bigger and better than ever before for 2021! There will be two completely different Blackpool Ghost Walks every week, Thursday Thrills and Saturday Scares; each has its own separate route, locations and tales. I am also very excited that now covid restrictions are to be lifted I am able to bring back the “Victorian Séance” experience which was a great hit with those attending when it was introduced in 2018. Included within the ticket price, those who join the ghost host on the spooky strolls will be invited to join him on an upper floor in an old Victorian building, now The Brew Room, to try and communicate with the spirit world; just like they did in Victorian times! It’s going to be fun… and yes… a little bit spooky!”
Robert Wynne, owner of The Brew Room said, “Since reopening this old Victorian Pub we have all noticed spirits of all kind in the building. The upper floors are particularly well preserved and particularly spooky! We look forward to welcoming all those brave souls who go on the Blackpool Ghost Walks back again this year.”
Blackpool Ghost Walks take place from 22 July through to 30 October on Thursday and Saturday evenings starting at 7pm from the Tourist Information Centre, Festival House on The Promenade (next to The Beach House) FY1 1AP. They last approximately 90 minutes and are family friendly.
Tickets are just £6 per person and can be purchased in advance via www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk. You can also buy your tickets from your ghost host on the evening of a walk or from the Tourist Information Centre on The Promenade.
Blackpool Ghost Walks and Supernatural Events has consistently been rated “Number One Tour in Blackpool” by TripAdvisor for the past six years receiving the “Travellers’ Choice” award (the new name for the Certificate in Excellence) every year for continuing to receive rave reviews for its walks and other eerie tours and events.
Will you be brave and join The Victorian Ghost Hunter on a Blackpool Ghost Walk? Go on… You know you want to!!!
