Journey Into The Depths To Meet Nature’s Most Magnificent Creatures

There’s a whole summer of underwater activity planned at Sea Life Blackpool, home to Europe’s largest collection of sharks.
Journey from the great British coastline meeting native sharks such as starry smooth-hounds and lesser spotted dog fish and learn about how you can spot their egg-cases on your local beaches.
Discover amazing species such as the beautiful zebra shark and the camouflaged wobbygong in the new shark nursery at the centre.
Finally head out into the deep tropical oceans and come face-to-fin with more than 20 large tropical sharks in the new 5000,000litre ocean display, including three 3 metre nurse sharks, a 2.75 metre sandbar or brown shark, 5 black tip reef sharks and two shovel nose guitar sharks plus an array of amazing colourful tropical fish and two stingrays.
Octonauts On Tour at SEA LIFE Blackpool – Daily from 20 July – 2 September
Those intrepid guardians of marine life, the Octonauts, are bringing their mission to SEA LIFE Blackpool 20 July – 2 September
The crew of the Octopod enthrall legions of young fans with their missions to save sea creatures in trouble. Now their young fans can meet them in person at SEA LIFE Blackpool!
Fans will have the chance to join Kwazii and Peso in their discovery of some real live sea creatures and enjoy a host of Octonautical activities, including quiz trail, activity sheets, stickers, photo opportunities and much more.

Snorkelling with Sharks – Daily (except Mondays and Fridays) 11am, 1pm and 3pm (£50pp, £175 for a group of four and includes entry to the attraction)
Deep beneath the waves, in the realm of the shark Gods, a new experience awaits those brave enough to come face-to-fin with some of nature’s most deadly predators.
Visitors to Sea Life Blackpool can now plunge into the depths of the Ocean Display as the famous attraction launches a fantastic new experience; Snorkelling with Sharks.
The bespoke cage can hold up to four snorkelers at once and gives an incredible insight into the underwater world inside Sea Life Blackpool’s 500,000litre Ocean Display, including a 2.75 metre long sandbar brown shark, five black tip reef sharks, two shovelnose guitar sharks and a southern Californian stingray.

Learn about the incredible underwater world of our planet and how we can help to protect it. From Charlie the Chameleon to the incredible juvenile ray nursery and the 500,000 litre ocean tank, home to Europe’s largest collection of sharks, there are more than 1000 animals at Sea Life Blackpool for you to discover this summer.

Sea Life Blackpool, in association with the Marine Conservation Society, Blackpool Council, the Environment Agency and United Utilities are joining forces again to clean up Blackpool’s beaches to keep them pristine over the Summer holidays
The beach watch initiative, which forms part of the Marine Conservation Society’s (MCS) beach clean and litter survey, aims to highlight issues of beach litter around the UK’s coastline.
Participants receive free entry to Sea Life Blackpool following the beach cleans as a thank you for taking part.
