Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom captured our three-year-old boy Jaxon’s imagination from the moment his favourite characters came alive on stage. Full of colour, games, songs and magic, the show enchanted from start to finish.
Jam-packed full of mini adventures ranging from the antics of the tooth fairy, to a very colourful mishap with jelly and helping the king, the magical and highly musical show held Jaxon’s attention throughout.
Games of hide-and-seek alongside magical spells that don’t always go to plan see Ben and Holly take you into their teeny tiny world of big imagination. Children were encouraged to shout out, dance, sing-a-long and join in helping Ben and Holly along their adventure.
The soothing ‘flying’ song was a lovely calm moment for little ones amongst the rest of the highly interactive and fun show. A lovely touch from The Grand Theatre was the use of free booster seats, which allowed all the little ones to see the stage so no-one small missed any of the fun!
A highlight for our son was the giant frog – he found his croak highly amusing! The song that involved tickling and Gaston the Ladybird’s darting across the stage also gained lots of laughs.
The vibrant stage set sees Ben and Holly’s world deep within the brambles come to life in a sea of colour. Complemented by Holly’s magical wand that brings lights and sounds to the stage as she works her magic with the help of the audience.
With an abundance of songs and laughter, there really isn’t anything to dislike about this innocent and captivating show. A must-see for all Ben and Holly fans and small children!
