Imperial Hotel Jubilee Celebrations

The Imperial Hotel Blackpool is thrilled to announce exciting plans for the much-anticipated Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The team is so pleased to be joining in and celebrating The Queen’s historic reign with an exciting package deal!

This year, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
 

Hotel to the Royals

The Imperial has welcomed many members of the Royal Family over the years. In 1912, Princess Louise (sister of King George V) opened “Princess Parade”, a new section of the Promenade with 10,000 bulbs being lit in celebration. Subsequently, Princess Louise’s niece, the Princess Royal, became the first member of the Royal Family to stay at The Imperial when she turned on the famous Illuminations.

Her Majesty’s mother, the Queen Mother also had an enjoyable stay with the Imperial in 1956, along with Lady Fermoy.  Princess Margaret and Princess Anne have both stayed here too – in their beautiful Balmoral Suite.
