Warwick Warms Up Switch-On Switch for Wossy

Film and TV star Warwick Davis has been warming up the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On switch ahead of chat show host Jonathan Ross officially flicking it next week.

Warwick is in Blackpool filming for a new ITV1 series with his wife and two children.

And during filming on the resort’s Tower Festival Headland, where the official Switch-On takes place on Friday 30 August with a full concert by Irish rockers The Script before Jonathan flicks the official switch, Warwick had a go himself.

Warwick’s filming was organised with Marketing Blackpool and Managing Director Natalie Wyatt said it’s great to see the popular star getting the switch ready for Jonathan.

Ms Wyatt said: “There have been some pretty impressive stars pulling that switch over the years and we can’t wait to see Jonathan carry out the all important job at next week’s Switch-On.

“It’s great that Warwick was able to film with it while in the resort and to warm it up ready for Jonathan!”

The Script are playing a full gig at The Tower Festival Headland on Friday 30 August with special guest Eliza Doolittle.

Madness will play a second Switch-On gig on Saturday 31.
