Local paranormal events company Supernatural Events is back with its thrilling and chilling Blackpool Ghost Walks this summer, and in partnership with Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours, will host the The Ghost Tram on its nerve-jangling journey across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
Throughout the holiday period join The Victorian Ghost Hunter, aka Haunted Blackpool author and founder of Supernatural Events, Stephen Mercer, on the spooky strolls or the haunted heritage tram to learn about Blackpool and the Fylde Coast’s “darker” history and its many ghostly goings-ons!
Blackpool Ghost Walks take place from Wednesday 18th July to Saturday 27th October (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings). They start at VisitBlackpool’s Tourist Information Centre, Festival House (situated between The Tower and North Pier) at 7.30pm and wind their way around streets and lanes in the town centre stopping at some of Blackpool’s most important (and most haunted) buildings, attractions and outside spaces with those in attendance hearing tales of terror, stories of the supernatural, myths, mystery and the macabre!
Blackpool Ghost Walks are family-friendly, accessible for all and last approximately 90 minutes. They have consistently been rated the “Number One Tour in Blackpool” by TripAdvisor for the past three years and Supernatural Events has recently received a Certificate in Excellence 2018 award for continuing to receive rave reviews for its walks, tours and other eerie events.
Tickets are just £6, £3.50 for under 16s or £16 for a family of four (minimum of one under 16 in attendance). They can be purchased in advance at www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk, from the host on the evening of a walk or the Tourist Information Centre on The Promenade.
If you’re feeling really brave then step aboard The Ghost Tram on Friday evenings from the 20th July to 26th October and you will be taken on a terrifying trip from Blackpool along the Fylde Coast to Fleetwood and back to hear more stories of spooks and hauntings, along with some dark and disturbing secrets too!
This unique tour combines a heritage tram ride with a gripping and spine-tingling look into the ghostly goings-ons along the Fylde coast. Host Stephen Mercer said, “The Ghost Tram has certainly captured people’s imagination. Having presented the Blackpool Ghost Walks for the last seven years, telling tales of hauntings and the paranormal around Blackpool’s promenade and town centre areas, it really is fantastic to go further afield on a heritage tram and tell even more stories all the way across the Fylde Coast! There are lots of new stories to tell and one or two old favourites. It’s going to be a fun, exciting and quite a spooky summer with both Blackpool Ghost Walks and The Ghost Tram taking place!”
The Ghost Tram departs from the North Pier Heritage Tram stop (next to the Tourist Information Centre) at 7.30pm. The tours are family-friendly and last approximately 90 minutes. Prices are £9.50 per adult, £4.00 child or £21.00 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children; children must be under 16 years). Tickets for this thrilling supernatural experience are available by calling Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours on 01253 209521, from VisitBlackpool Tourist Information Centre on The Promenade or subject to availability prior to boarding the tram. More details (including online bookings) can be found at www.TheGhostTram.co.uk.
Tickets are likely to go with all the force of a poltergeist for both Blackpool Ghost Walks and The Ghost Tram, so book early and rest in peace!
