Review: A Christmas Carol

As a special Christmas treat, my Mum got tickets for the two of us to go and see ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool… I was really excited!!
Me with my ticket just before we set off…. I was very excited!
The day soon arrived and we got there just before the doors were due to open. We bought a programme and then it was time to sit in our seats. We were on the second row so we were really close to the stage!
I already knew the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge because I have seen the film a few times. It’s all about a grumpy miserable man who is visited by some ghosts who try to make him realise he should be happy. When the show started I was amazed because the people were really really good at singing and dancing.
Me and my Mum in our seats on the second row!
I really liked the ghosts – especially Jacob Marley. The ghost of Christmas present was very jolly and made everyone laugh and the ghost of Christmas future was massive! He was like a giant puppet and was operated by three people – it was really clever. I also liked how the scenery kept changing – It all happened so quickly, so that one minute it looked like the street outside and the next minute it was Scrooge’s bedroom.
Near the end, when Scrooge had turned in to a nice man, he came in to the audience with some of the children from the show and gave out sweets to some of the audience… Scrooge himself leaned over to me and gave me a toffee! Then during the finale, there was actual snow which came down on to the stage and in to the theatre and we got covered! Me and Mum clapped loads because we enjoyed it so much – it was the best Christmas treat ever and I would recommend it to everyone because it was totally awesome!
