1. Watch CATS the Musical – this year Blackpool is host to the world famous musical’s only tour outside of London. Make sure you don’t miss your opportunity to join Mr Mistoffelees, Grizabella and the rest of the Jellicle cats for a magical evening at the Blackpool Opera House.
2. Ride the brand new Red Arrows Skyforce thrill ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach – Take control of your flight as you take to the skies in your very own Red Arrows plane. Spin, swirl and soar 72 ft above the ground on this exhilarating new ride.
3. Be the first to see Paddy McGuinness at Madame Tussauds – this July Madame Tussauds welcomed a brand new wax figure in the form of the much loved comedian Paddy McGuinness. So have your phones at the ready for this perfect selfie opportunity and remember – ‘no likey, no lighty!’
4. Discover the Stingray Adventure at SEA LIFE – a brand new feature for 2015, Stingray Adventure will introduce you and your family to the magical world of SEA LIFE’s resident rays. The tank is complete with pop-up windows and viewing chambers, giving your little ones the perfect opportunity to submerge themselves in this mystical underwater world without getting wet!
5. Feel the sand between your toes – take a stroll along one of Blackpool’s four award winning sandy beaches and experience the Fylde coast in all its glory.
6. Meet Blackpool Zoo’s baby lion cub Khari – Blackpool Zoo welcomed the newest member of the pride on 31st May. Little Khari is getting bigger every day, so make sure to pay a visit to Blackpool Zoo for the rare opportunity to witness a lion cub explore his new surroundings.
7. Witness stunning views from The Blackpool Tower Eye – travel 380ft to the top of the iconic Blackpool Tower and experience the thrilling view from the glass SkyWalk platform. See Blackpool unfurl beneath you and experience one of the best views in the North West.
8. Take a walk through Lancashire’s murky history at The Blackpool Tower Dungeons – meet the Plague Doctor, Judge Blackheart and the Pendle Witches as they divulge some of Blackpool’s darkest secrets in the depths of The Blackpool Tower. Experience 10 live shows that will take you on a thrill-filled journey through 1,000 years of Lancashire’s past.
9. Travel the Golden Mile on a Blackpool tram – the iconic Blackpool tram system has been transporting tourists up and down the seafront for over 130 years. Take the opportunity to hop on a tram and enjoy the ride as you travel the seafront taking in some of Blackpool’s most iconic landmarks along the way.
10. Experience the Illuminations – every year, as the days begin to draw shorter, the Blackpool seafront is illuminated by over 1 million bulbs in Britain’s most iconic light display. From the 4th September to 8th November, head down to the promenade as the sun begins to set and experience the magic of the Illuminations, including the spectacular new Lightpool show outside the famous Tower.
