10 October 2016
by Visit Blackpool
This October, Aladdin is coming to the Grand Theatre in search of the magic lamp in partnership with Houndshill Shopping Centre!
The wicked Abanazar has stolen Aladdin’s lamp and hidden it in Houndshill Shopping Centre. Now we must help Aladdin find the lamp before Abanazar unleashes his evil plot upon Blackpool.
From Monday, 31st October to Saturday, 5th November, a competition will be held in conjunction with four secret store locations within Houndshill Shopping Centre. Each shop will hide the stunning lamp in their store window on different days throughout the October half term. There will also be ‘£2.00 off ticket’ vouchers in every participating shop, so make sure to grab yourself one in case you don’t win!
To Enter:
- Take a picture of the magic lamp in the window of one of the secret shops.

Many locals may recognize his renowned piece, the ‘Dreamkeeper’. John’s pieces can also be seen in Cleveley’s Wetherspoons and forms part of The Grand Theatre’s Matcham Court canopy design.
Andrew Howard, Grand Theatre Marketing Manager said: “We’re thrilled to be working with local businesses to do something a little different and ignite excitement for our iconic Christmas event in Blackpool. The hunt is on for Aladdin’s lamp!”
