I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down…
After the fantastic sell-out success of Ugly Duckling, Northern Ballet is delighted to bring its charming new ballet for children, Three Little Pigs telling the classic fairytale of three plucky porcine pals and one big, bad hairy wolf…
Three little pigs set out into the world. The first pig decides to build a house of straw, the second a house made of sticks and the third pig chooses to build a house of bricks. Then along comes a very hungry wolf. The wolf begs each little pig to invite him in for dinner. When they refuse he threatens to huff and puff and blow their houses down. Will any of the pigs be smart enough to escape the big bad wolf?
Three Little Pigs is performed to live music and includes classical compositions and theme tunes from popular children’s cartoons such as Frank Churchill’s ‘Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?’ This is the second production in Northern Ballet’s series of short ballets for small people and trots out on tour to follow the sell-out success of Ugly Duckling, which became a BAFTA award-winning TV adaptation for CBeebies.
Northern Ballet is a renowned dance company based in Leeds, West Yorkshire with a strong repertoire in theatrical dance productions where the emphasis is on storytelling as well as classical ballet. Its captivating new children’s production of Three Little Pigs brings the timeless fairytale delightfully to life and is the perfect opportunity to introduce your little ones to the magic of live ballet, music and theatre.
