This Halloween why not pay SEA LIFE Blackpool a visit and check out the exciting selection of spooktacular species on display throughout the October Half Term!
Meet the eerie looking batfish which are entirely black, except for an illuminating yellow edging creating an intimidating site for fellow inhabitants within the Ocean display.
Giving Dracula a run for his money the Vampire Tangs boast distinctive white markings against their vivid blue skin mimicking the fangs of a vampire and resulting in its quirky name.
If bobbing for apples tickles your fancy this Halloween then the brightly coloured sea apples on display will be right up your street.
The colourful Halloween crabs boast an indigo-coloured back, bright lavender pinchers teamed with stripy orange legs – the best dressed of all of the spooky species!
To fit in with their creepy crustaceans staff at SEA LIFE Blackpool will be dressing up in full Halloween costume on Saturday 31st October and are encouraging their visitors to do the same!
SEA LIFE Blackpool’s General Manager Rachel Sipes said;
‘We have a great range of spooky sea creatures here at SEA LIFE Blackpool that always get a little more attention around this time of year due to their fun appearance. These unique creatures complement our other key areas such as the Stingray Adventure zone.
‘Halloween is all about joining in the fun and we are excited to welcome people in fancy dress. The team here enjoy dressing up for Halloween too so we’ll be donning bat wings and stripy tights to create a fun day for everyone – even the fish!’
If scary isn’t your thing then why not bring the family along to meet the Octonauts who will be here from 10th October – 1st November 2015.
As cadets they’ll master the specialities of their favourite characters across six fun zones including Kwazii’s Rockpool, Dr Shellington’s Research Area and Professor Inkling’s Library.
There’s even the opportunity to meet some of the characters in person before young enthusiasts are rewarded for their training with a very special Octonauts medal and certificate!
With episode screenings, a toy zone, as well as arts and crafts activities, this is the ultimate event for all Octonauts fans!
