WRONG TROUSERS DAY AT BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH
23 June 2015
by Visit Blackpool
Visitors to Blackpool Pleasure Beach are being encouraged to let their imaginations run wild and dress in suitably unusual trousers on Friday 26th June in support of Wrong Trousers Day, an event which supports Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity.
In support of the event, Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s iconic Laughing Man has changed from his usual outfit, into pair of wacky trousers. The Laughing Man has been entertaining visitors to the park for 80 years with his infectious laugh and dazzling outfits, so who better to change his trousers for this great cause.
Anyone arriving at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in “Wrong Trousers” on June 26th will not only be supporting a fantastic charity, they will also save £5 on the gate price on this date.
Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity aims to ensure that sick and terminally ill children in hospitals and hospices have the best possible comforts, facilities and equipment available, including beds for parents, play and music therapy and support for special care babies.
Nicola Masters, director, Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, “Our Wrong Trousers Day event is a great opportunity to have some fun and wear your craziest clothing, all while raising vital funds to support sick children in hospitals and hospices. We hope to see schools, businesses and organisations all over the country getting involved this Friday.”
Guests visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Friday 26th June can receive £5 off the gate price which will mean a visit costs just £25 for adults and £22 for juniors. All you need to do is arrive in the “Wrong Trousers” and let our Ticket Sales staff know you have them on (they may not see your terrific trousers from behind the desk). Also, if you share a picture of you in your Wrong Trousers with The Laughing Man on our social media pages, our favourite win 2 free wristbands!
