The spooky strolls will take place during the school holiday period from Saturday 13th to Saturday 20th February taking in the town’s most haunted hotspots including some of its most famous buildings and attractions.
Join the Victorian Ghost Hunter, Stephen Mercer, author of Haunted Blackpool and founder of the local spooky events company Supernatural Events, who will guide you to some of the resort’s most famous, and most haunted, locations where you will hear tales of terror, mystery and the macabre as well as stories of the supernatural and ghosts galore! Blackpool Ghost Walks will take place at 7.30pm from Saturday 13th to Saturday 20th February (excluding Wednesday 17th).
The spooky strolls begin on the promenade (meeting at the front of North Pier, next to the ice cream and candy floss stall beneath the large LED advertising screen) and wind their way around streets in the town centre stopping at some of Blackpool’s most important buildings and attractions with those in attendance learning of the town’s haunted heritage
Stephen said, “I can’t wait to get started on the Half Term Blackpool Ghost Walks. There are some new stops and some new stories as well. I’d advise people to book their tickets in advance as the walks can be very popular. If you’ve got a fascination for phantoms and ghosts, hauntings, local history and heritage then the walks are perfect for you.”
The Blackpool Ghost Walks (currently ranked number one on TripAdvisor’s “Tours and Activities in Blackpool”) are an outside walking tour and will take place whatever the weather; please dress appropriately! They last approximately one and a half hours, are fully accessible and fun for all the family.
Tickets are just £6, £3.50 for under 16s or £16 for a family of four (minimum of one under 16 in attendance), and can be purchased in advance from www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk or www.SupernaturalEvents.co.uk. They also can be purchased from VisitBlackpool Tourist Information Centre on The Promenade (call 01253 478222) or from your host, the Victorian Ghost Hunter, on the night of a ghost walk.
