Blackpool-based Supernatural Events will be presenting a spook-fest this Halloween with a ghost tour of Blackpool Zoo, an overnight ghost hunt at North Pier Theatre and spooky strolls with its popular Blackpool Ghost Walks.
Blackpool Ghost Walks are back for the Halloween half-term holidays when you are invited to join your Victorian host Stephen Mercer, author of Haunted Blackpool and founder of Supernatural Events, who will guide you to some of the resort’s most famous, and most haunted, locations where you will hear tales of mystery and the macabre, as well as one or two spooky stories and a few terrifying tales! The walks will take place at 7.30pm on Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th, Thursday 30th, Halloween Night Friday 31st October, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November. The spooky strolls begin on the promenade (meeting at the front of North Pier next to the ice cream/candy floss stall) and wind their way around some of Blackpool’s most important buildings and attractions with those in attendance learning of the town’s haunted heritage!
Join Supernatural Events on Wednesday 29th October at 8pm for a two-hour Ghost Tour of the famous Blackpool Zoo when you will visit some of the attraction’s most haunted areas including the elephant house, the nursery and the cafe! You could bump into the hooded man or see the man in the RAF uniform. Oh! Be careful when you go into the storage hanger – things tend to go bump in the night there! Tickets must be pre-booked.
Blackpool’s North Pier Theatre will be opening its doors for a very special eerie event on Halloween Night (Friday 31st October) with an overnight ghost hunt taking place from 10pm to 3am. Those attending will get the chance to visit areas that many believe to be haunted including the auditorium, stage, and areas not normally accessed by the public including dressing rooms and backstage; in a quest to find out what really goes on “behind the scenes”! Tickets must be pre-booked.
Supernatural Events founder Stephen Mercer said, “We will be visiting two of my most favourite attractions, Blackpool Zoo and North Pier Theatre, for two very special Halloween events. The Zoo is a wonderful place to visit during the day however at night when it is closed and visitors and staff have left the grounds it takes on a very different atmosphere with lots of creepy noises and some very strange goings-on! The North Pier Theatre is one of the most popular locations in the town for our ghost hunts. It can feel really eerie in there in the dead of night; I can’t wait to return to show paranormal enthusiasts some of the areas that are reportedly haunted. It will be a great, if not a slightly scary, night! The Blackpool Ghost Walks have been an extremely popular attraction throughout the holiday periods this year, and it will be fantastic to tell those brave souls joining me on the spooky strolls some stories of ghostly sightings along with a few bizarre and terrifying tales, especially during the Halloween period! It’s going to be a spook-fest like no other.”
Tickets for the Blackpool Ghost Walks are just £5, £3.50 for under 14s or £15 for a family of four (minimum of one under 14 in attendance), and can be purchased in advance from www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk or www.SupernaturalEvents.co.uk.
