I’ve been at VisitBlackpool since 2004, starting off in the post room and eventually finding my way into the Tourist Information Centre where I’ve been the supervisor for the last 5 years.
Favourite place in Blackpool
The Comedy Carpet followed by the 4D film at The Tower Eye. Although I have to admit my desk with the sea view takes some beating.
Best thing about working in the Tourist Information Centre
You get to meet really nice, genuine customers and it’s good knowing that you are helping make people’s breaks that little bit better. I like it when it’s busy and the variety of enquiries you can get range from “what time do the Lights go on” to “I’ve got a group of 14 adults and three children wanting accommodation tomorrow, can you help?”
What’s the funniest/wackiest thing you have ever been asked?
“Are the dinosaurs at the Zoo real?”
