Danny Howard moves ‘Blackpool Rocks’ to Blackpool Tower

Blackpool’s biggest indoor Winter Festival, Blackpool Rocks, has this morning announced that it is moving to a new home in the world famous Blackpool Tower. Organised by Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard, the event, now in its second year will take-over Blackpool Tower on Saturday 20th December with a stellar line up of some of the hottest dance and R&B performers.
Following on from the 2013 event that attracted acts such as Disclosure, Pete Tong, Hannah Wants and a special set from Danny Howard himself, the 2014 is expected to attract over 6,000 festival goers when the line-up is finally announced over the coming weeks.
Blackpool Tower, one of the UK’s favourite tourist attractions will see the venue, including the Ballroom and Circus, transformed into a unique indoor festival site, with over 10 rooms of music to keep festival goers entertained from 8pm on Saturday 20th December, right through until 6am on the Sunday morning.
Speaking ahead of this morning’s announcement, organiser Danny Howard said,
“What better place is there to party in Blackpool than the tower itself! It’s an icon… everyone knows it and from the beauty of the Ballroom, to the quirky space that is the Circus, this is going to be one unforgettable night of entertainment with some of the hottest talent on the UK music scene”

Tickets for Blackpool Rocks on Saturday 20th December (Doors 8pm) will go on sale on Friday 12th September at www.blackpoolrocks.com . A series of tickets will be released over the coming weeks priced from £20 – £40, with the cheaper tickets being available to those who book early.
