Blackpool News / Theatres & Shows It’s a Halloween SpookFest with Supernatural Events! 24 October 2017 by Visit Blackpool Blackpool-based Supernatural Events will be presenting a series of paranormal-based, eerie events in the resort throughout the half-term holiday period. SpookFest, the festival of all things “spooky” is back! Until Monday 30th October and then from Wednesday 1st to Saturday 4th November, The Victorian Ghost Hunter (aka Supernatural Events’ founder and Haunted Blackpool author Stephen Mercer) will host the Halloween Blackpool Ghost Walks. Starting from VisitBlackpool’s Tourist Information Centre on The Promenade at 7.30pm (with an additional 9.30pm walk on 30th October), those brave souls attending will be led on an outside walking tour to some of the town’s most important, most historic and most haunted locations to hear stories of the supernatural and tales of terror; including the man in black, the Victorian lady, mummified cats, phantom trams, shipwrecks and foghorns and many more. By the end of the walk you will begin to question everything you thought you believed in! The ghost walks have been rated the “No 1 Tour in Blackpool” consistently for the last two and a half years on TripAdvisor and have just been announced as finalists in the Lancashire Tourism Awards’ Visitor Experience category. Tickets are £6, under 16s £3.50, family of 4 (must include minimum of one under 16) £16. You can book in advance at www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk or simply turn up and pay your host on the night. On Halloween itself (Tuesday 31st October), there are two very special events taking place. At 5.15pm Supernatural Events and Blackpool Heritage Trams have joined forces to bring you The Ghost Tram. On this “dark journey” from the Pleasure Beach heritage stop, Blackpool to Fleetwood and back, you will hear stories of ghosts galore and horrifying hauntings from across the Fylde coast. Tickets are £9.50, £4 for Under 16s or £21 for a family of 4 and can be booked by calling Heritage Trams on 01253 209521. Halloween night will be spent at The Regent Cinema, Church Street, Blackpool where Stephen Mercer will give a short talk on Haunted Blackpool, followed by the frightening film Paranormal Activity. To finish off the eerie evening, a Victorian Séance with members of the audience will take place in a secret location at The Regent and screened live to those in the cinema! The Halloween Spooktacular at The Regent starts at 8pm. Doors, and The Diner which sells a selection of drinks and snacks, will open at 7.30pm. Tickets are £20 per person and available online at www.RegentCinemaBlackpool.co.uk or from The Regent during its normal opening hours.
