22 April 2015
by Visit Blackpool
This weekend The New Fylde Folk’n’Roots Festival committee invite you to experience the enjoyment and diversity of Folk’n’Roots in this year’s additional festival venues.
On Saturday, The Queens in Fleetwood support the festival committee to bring the Wow Factor with music from a multitude of genres from blues and roots to trad and contemporary folk. The music begins at 2pm through until 11pm with fantastic artists who are travelling from far and wide to join in the shenanigans, including West Side Dukes, Mather Robinson Band, Richard Grainger and The Sail Pattern. There will also be a smattering of local talent too with Cartoon Food. There will be limited overnight campervan spaces available at the venue, however due to low demand for camping the committee has had to cancel plans to use the farm.
The New Fylde Folk’n’Roots Festival are also pleased to announce that Jo Hafford will be coming home to the Fylde Coast to launch her new CD, ‘Better Late Than Never’ at the event.
Sunday afternoon will offer entertainment in the form of a traditional Irish Session from 1pm until 4.30pm in The Bug (formerly Prince Arthur) on Lord Street in Fleetwood.
