The Lancashire Hotpots
13 April 2015
by Visit Blackpool
LIVE at the Grand Theatre Blackpool, Saturday 30 May 2015
Eh up cowboys and girls, comedy troubadours The Lancashire Hotpots are donning their stetsons and saddling up their horses to bring you an evening of music, comedy… and a bit of the Wild Wild West with their new show A Fist Full of Scratchcards.
You can expect all the usual comedy folk favourites including Chippy Tea, Shopmobility Scooter as well as Rootin’ Tootin’ Country and Western Hoedown.
The musical Lancashire Lads from St Helens have been writing their topical comedy folk songs since 2006, and have performed on The Grand’s stage consecutively for the past four years.
The Lancashire Hotpots have become the go-to band for those wanting a light-hearted view on life from a distinctly Northern angle. With rousing anthems such as He’s Turned Emo, The Baking Song and I Fear Ikea; the Hotpots have become something of a cult spectacle, touring the country with their own brilliant brand of parody songs and celebrating the culture of the North West.
They have played at Glastonbury festival, toured with Paddy McGuinness, written jingles for Holland’s Pies, recorded live studio sessions at BBC 6Music for avid Hotpots fan Steve Lamacq and even had a real ale named after them!
Join Bernard, Bob, Kenny, Billy and Dickie at Blackpool Grand Theatre on Saturday 30 May for a rambunctious riot of good time, singalonga fun.
“A terrific evening’s entertainment” – Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 2
“Masters of Parody” – The Guardian
