Embracing the magical spirit of The Blackpool Tower Circus, Director and head of the Endresz family Laci Endresz Senior set off today, Friday 27th June, on a gruelling motorbike ride from Blackpool to Budapest this month on his treasured Harley Davidson.
This gallant challenge will see Laci Endresz Senior, a Hungarian national, travel over 1,800 miles back to his roots dressed in a Circus themed jacket and helmet; in a bid to raise as much money as possible for both Merlin’s Magic Wand and the Blackpool Palatine Rotary Club.
Merlin’s Magic Wand is an International charitable trust which believes in putting the magic back into the childhoods of seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children. The Blackpool Rotary Club is a non-political, non-religious group which is open to all cultures, races, and creeds and represents a cross-section of local business and professional leaders.
Departing on this momentous journey from none other than The Blackpool Tower, Laci’s two sons The Blackpool Tower Circus’ famous clowns Mooky and his brother Mr Boo were on hand to wave him off on his way.
Laci Endresz Senior, The Blackpool Tower Circus Director said;
“I am very excited to take on this challenge and hopeful to be able to make a substantial contribution to both Merlin’s Magic Wand and The Blackpool Palatine Rotary Club.
I want to spread the word and encourage people to get on board and sponsor me as the work undertaken by both charities is so important.”
Kate Shane, General Manager of The Blackpool Tower said;
“We are all extremely proud of Laci for taking on this mammoth challenge in support of two fantastic charities.
And what better place to start his journey from than the world famous Blackpool Tower!”
Laci’s journey will commenced today, Friday 27th June, at 9am from The Blackpool Tower. He plans to film his progress during regular intervals throughout his journey and will be greeted in Budapest by a film crew poised to capture his triumphant arrival.
