Blackpool Transport Announce Changes to Fares & Ticket Prices

Blackpool Transport has announced they will be introducing a series of changes to their fares from Sunday, 3rd June 2018.
The good news is that the Blackpool Transport app will remain the cheapest and easiest way to travel. The app makes bus and tram travel even easier for existing customers and for those people who don’t use the bus very often, if at all.
Jane Cole, Managing Director at Blackpool Transport said “Unfortunately due to an increase in costs we are having to change the price of our single fare and saver tickets. These increases have been kept to an absolute minimum and where we have been able to hold the price of fares, we have done so.
All saver ticket prices on our Blackpool Transport app will remain cheaper than purchasing them elsewhere, making it the most convenient and cost effective way to travel around Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Bus travel still offers a far cheaper and often more convenient alternative to using the car, with a monthly ticket costing just £1.75 per day!”
The new fares come into effect from Sunday 3rd June and see a 10p increase on all single fare prices. Saver ticket prices have increased by an average of 4.9% when purchasing via the Blackpool Transport app. The mobile app will also see the introduction of the option to purchase multiple 24hour tickets at a reduced price for adults and young people.
