An incredible line-up of Britain’s best comedy talent has been set for Blackpool iFest’s super Sunday, bringing live laughs to the Comedy Carpet for the first time ever.
Al Murray – The Pub Landlord will lead a whole host of comedy talent to round off the weekend festival which will mark the start of the resort’s annual Illuminations season, performing a full hour long set.
Chris Ramsey, Alun Cochrane, Tiff Stevenson, Craig Campbell and Carl Hutchinson – all incredibly popular and critically acclaimed on the comedy circuit and regulars on television – will also perform, guaranteeing a side-splitting evening of fun.
And for a limited time only, buying a ticket for just £10 will secure you a wristband for the biggest night in Blackpool’s calendar, the Blackpool iFest Friday night Illuminations Switch-On featuring Hollywood superstar Tim Burton, The Vamps, Lawson, Professor Green and many more!
The offer is also redeemable against the purchase of a ticket for Saturday night’s vintage pop concert featuring Bananarama, Jason Donovan and Paul Young as well as a host of top names from the eighties.
This offer is only available from the VisitBlackpool Tourist Information Centre or online at www.visitblackpool.com/shop while stocks last. (booking fee’s apply)
Comedy headliner, Al Murray, needs no introduction and is one of the UK’s most popular comedians and the winner of a Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival.
Ramsey, meanwhile, has starred in the BBC2s sitcom Hebburn and is also regular face on shows like Celebrity Juice, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
A master of observational comedy, Cochrane is also a TV regular having starred in Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You among many others.
Tiff Stevenson, meanwhile, shot to fame on ITV1’s “Show Me the Funny” and is known for her honest material and instantly likeable disposition having starred on the likes of Mock The Week, Absolute Power and Balls of Steel.
Campbell is a formidable stand-up who also has a host of TV credits to his name and supported Frankie Boyle on his record-breaking national tour, playing to an audience of over 300,000 nationwide while Hutchinson has a string of awards to his name as “Magners Pub Comedian of the Year” and the winner of the “Beat the Frog World Series” competition.
It all makes for a rip-roaringly funny event at Blackpool’s stunning Tower Festival Headland seafront arena, which features one of the UK’s most exciting and interactive new pieces of public art, the Comedy Carpet.
The Saturday and Sunday events are part of a stunning weekend of star names that forms VisitBlackpool’s annual Illuminations Switch-On Festival, Blackpool iFest.
Hollywood megastar, Tim Burton, who is a huge fan of the resort and shot his upcoming film, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” here earlier this year, is this year’s Friday night Switch-On star.
Meanwhile, The Vamps, Lawson, Professor Green, Toploader and Little Boots are among the huge names headlining the Friday night concert.
