Harry Ramsden at Blackpool Tower, the northern flagship restaurant of the iconic British brand, has received the prestigious “Transforming Blackpool” award from the Blackpool Civic Trust.
Following a significant investment in the property last year, the new-look Harry Ramsden’s, with its modern take on seaside design, was unveiled at Blackpool Tower to universal acclaim from locals and visitors alike.
Since it opened last summer, the restaurant has welcomed not only its traditional customer but a whole new generation of fans, and Joan Humble, Chairman of the Blackpool Civic Trust notes;
“We had many nominations for awards, and an array of exciting and deserving winners, not least Harry Ramsden’s whose major investment in Blackpool Tower has transformed that section of Blackpool’s internationally renound Promenade, to the benefit of our town.”
Harry’s northern flagship was specially created for Blackpool and the iconic Tower and as well as Gin and Craft Beer bars, Juice and Smoothie stations, there’s a wide-ranging menu, which includes fresh, cooked to order grilled seafood dishes, and of course, Harry’s world famous fish and chips!
All in all, the award-winning Harry Ramsden at Blackpool Tower offers a warm welcome, top quality food and first class facilities for almost 300 diners in the main restaurant, neighbouring takeaway and quick service restaurant on the 5th floor of the Tower.
Harry Ramsden's Brand Director, Frank Romano adds;
“With our shared proud heritage, Blackpool’s most iconic landmark was the ideal location from which to introduce the modern-day face of Harry Ramsden’s, so are thrilled to receive such a prestigious accolade. It is particularly gratifying that our efforts have been recognised by the body whose purpose is to secure the preservation, protection and improvement of features of historical or public interest.”
