The Blackpool Tower Ballroom is the go-to destination for dance fans across the world with its jaw-dropping architecture, stunning sprung dancefloor and magical backdrop.

Watch in awe as dancers take to the dancefloor and waltz away to the enchanting sounds of the Wurlitzer and prepare to be lost in a world of elegant charm and ornate beauty. You can even have a go yourself if you’re not too full from all the tasty treats served during your afternoon tea slot.

Indulge in a wonderful afternoon tea by the side of the newly-restored dancefloor and soak up the scenery from your seat. Enjoy a tantalising selection of sandwiches, cream scones with clotted cream and jam, plus a slice of cake from the daily selection, served with tea or coffee.

Fancy adding some extra heritage? In partnership with the The Blackpool Tower, Heritage Tram Tours offer an Afternoon Tea Experience. Embark on your trip from Blackpool’s North Pier Heritage Tram Stop where you will be greeted with a glass of fizz. Sail down the Queen’s Promenade towards Little Bispham and disembark outside the iconic Tower for a couple of hours in the historic ballroom.

Afternoon Tea at the Imperial
Time for tea at the Imperial Hotel

The Imperial Hotel, located at North Promenade, was one of the first hotels the Victorians built in Blackpool back in 1867. To this day, the historical hotel welcomes thousands of visitors through its doors each year.

Luckily, you do not need to be a guest at the hotel to experience their lavish afternoon tea. Dine in a surrounding that’s steeped in tradition and tuck into a three-tiered platter composed of many delicious elements, both savoury and sweet, that you will love. In addition to sandwiches, scones and sweet treats that have been lovingly prepared by their in-house pastry chef, you will also be served a small but hearty cup of soup and a meaty sausage roll. Afternoon Tea Winter Gardens

Soak in the surroundings of the stunning Winter Gardens Blackpool whilst enjoying afternoon tea in the Grade II listed Mazzei Café. Help yourself to finger sandwiches, freshly-baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of bite-sized sweet treats all watered down with English breakfast tea or coffee. The Mazzei Café is named after Andrew Mazzei, a French born film set designer, who had an integral role in designing interiors throughout the Winter Gardens Blackpool. Afternoon Tea Stanley Park

Feel fancy at the Art Deco Café

Located in the picturesque Stanley Park overlooking the idyllic Italian Gardens, the Art Deco Café ticks all the right boxes if you want to take a break from the bustling town centre.

The Grade II listed café, built in 1926, offers a delightful afternoon tea selection, from savoury canapés, sandwich triangles to tasty teacakes. Choose from unlimited garden tea, Viennese blend coffee or upgrade to a bottle of prosecco. The Art Deco café is ideal if you have children under 15 in your party as they can opt for their very own Little Missy Afternoon Tea.

Walk off your afternoon tea with a stroll around the 390-acre park or head to the boating lake and hire a pedal boat. Keep the children entertained at the skate park or let them run wild at the adventure playground.

Afternoon Tea Slug & Lettuce

Opt for glam at Slug and Lettuce

Slug and Lettuce offer their own modern spin on this great British tradition with three types of afternoon tea specials to choose from. All served in an instagrammable bird cage, choose from Classic Tea, your traditional afternoon tea with a mouth-watering selection of sandwiches, wraps, scones and bite-sized desserts; Tipsy Tea which includes all the fanciful treats of Classic Tea but with two refreshing glasses of prosecco; or push the boat out with Cocktails & Cakes which includes all of the traditional treats and a choice of two colourful cocktails or mocktails per person.

Handily located in the town centre, enjoy a spot of shopping in Houndshill Shopping Centre afterwards. Afternoon tea is available every day between 12pm and 4:30pm but must be booked in advance.
