Blackpool Council is offering free parking at all Council car parks on Saturday 5 December, from 3pm until midnight, in aid of Small Business Saturday.
The parking offer is aimed at helping local businesses and encouraging visitors and residents to discover Blackpool’s wide variety of quality small shops, cafes and restaurants this Saturday.
Whether it’s to enjoy some afternoon shopping, or a meal with friends, everyone can take advantage of this fantastic free offer.
Cllr Christine Wright, Cabinet Member with responsibility for parking services, said: “For our local businesses to thrive they need support from local people. I hope that residents and visitors take advantage our parking offers and in turn support our local economy.
“On top of free parking this Saturday, we are also running a ‘Park for Pound’ Christmas parking offer throughout December.
“The Christmas period is the most important time of the year for the retail sector and we want to do all that we can to encourage as many shoppers as possible in Blackpool. Our town really does have something for everyone.
“These offers are designed to attract people to carry out their Christmas shopping in Blackpool and hopefully also stop for bite to eat or to enjoy a show.”
Park for a Pound will coincide with Thursday late night shopping dates that include November 26 and December 3, 10 and 17. Drivers can park from 5pm until midnight in four Town Centre Council Car Parks; West Street, Central, Talbot multi-storey and East Topping Street for just £1.
The Houndshill Shopping Centre will also be taking part in this offer, during late night Thursdays on these dates and times. Park for a Pound will also be available Sunday November 29 and December 6, 13 and 20 in the four Council Town Centre Car Parks.
