Blackpool Pleasure Beach gets hearts racing

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is offering singles the chance to experience the highs and lows of dating in just three minutes.

The UK’s most ride intensive theme park is inviting attendees to take part in a range of speed dates on some of the attractions most loved rides.

The one-off event will see potential suitors paired up and sent on a ‘rollercoaster’ series of dates – getting butterflies on The Big One, blushing on the Big Dipper or giving the eye on ICON.

With none of the rides lasting longer than three minutes, singletons will have to act fast to impress their dates. For those who hit it off there will be a chance to get to know your crush better afterwards.

Speaking on the event, Blackpool Pleasure Beach Managing Director, Amanda Thompson OBE, said: “The Pleasure Beach has always been a popular date location and with Valentine’s just around the corner we thought it would be fantastic to bring people together on park. 

“We are really excited to be hosting our first ‘speed’ dating event; imagine telling your friends and family you met the love of your life on a rollercoaster.”

Open to singles over the age of 18, those looking to attend can register their interest on the attraction’s website when applications open on February 14^th.  Successful applicants will be notified and invited to attend the special event once the park opens daily on April 1^st.
