Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride - The Christie charity’s largest cycling event kicks off at Media City in Salford and covers a scenic route of 60 miles with refreshments stops provided along the way, finishing with music and a massage at South Promenade.

Manchester to Blackpool Night Ride - At midnight on the 5th October, jump on your bike and set off from the iconic Emirates Cricket Ground in Manchester, cycling through the night on a 52 mile ride through Lancashire, aiming for the Blackpool sea front, where the world famous Illuminations will be left on all night, exclusively for this very special occasion.

Pier to Pier Swim - This open-water swim between North and South Piers saw more than 100 swimmers taking on the challenge of the Irish Sea in 2019, with support from Blackpool Beach Patrol and the coastguards. Due to take place on 15 August.

Blackpool 10k - Taking place in May 2020, this is Blackpool’s biggest Fun Run, attracting lots of new and experienced runners from the age of 11 upwards. Many take part in fancy dress adding to the carnival atmosphere.

The High Ropes - Take on the High Ropes challenge at Outdoor Revolution in the grounds of award-winning Stanley Park. Traverse moving tyres, rope swings and wobbly bridges to reach the mega zip wire. How far can you go?

Colour Run - Run, walk, even dance your way through this fun-packed family friendly 3km course in aid of Trinity Hospice where you’re guaranteed to get covered in powdered paint at seven Colour Splash stations. There’s no escaping!

Ride the Lights? - Get on your bike and ride beneath the famous Illuminations in a car-free environment! It’s not a race. It’s fun and it’s free and it’s open to all, from toddlers on trikes to retirees on racers. Ride as much or as little of the promenade as you want, from Starr Gate to Red Bank Road in Bispham. Taking place on 1 September.
