Saddle up for Manchester to Blackpool Night Ride 1 July 2019 by Visit Blackpool Make your mark in the fight against heart and circulatory disease by cycling 52 miles, through the night at the Manchester to Blackpool Night Ride. Join over 2,000 cyclists on the night of 5-6 October 2019 to help the British Heart Foundation (BHF) fund life saving research to beat heartbreak forever. In 2018, those who took on the challenge helped raise £260,000 which will go towards helping us better understand how to prevent, diagnose and treat heart and circulatory diseases, which cause more than a quarter of all deaths in the UK. This unique event sets off at midnight from the iconic Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester. Participants will be challenged to cycle through the night, aiming for the glowing finish line – under the Blackpool Illuminations, which will be left on for the night exclusively for this very special occasion. Matt McMahon, Marketing Officer at the BHF, said: “Join the British Heart Foundation and put the brakes on heart and circulatory disease. By challenging yourself to take on the Manchester to Blackpool Night Ride, you will be funding life saving research that will end the devastation caused by heart and circulatory disease once and for all”. “Every mile you pedal will help bring us closer to the day when families aren’t torn apart by conditions like diabetes, stroke, vascular dementia and coronary heart disease. With 26,000 people from the Blackpool living with these conditions and around 500 people from the area losing their lives to them each year, the need for your support to fund more lifesaving breakthroughs has never been more urgent.” Sign up and find out more at www.bhf.org.uk/M2B
