Emma, who trained at Scream Theatre School in Blackpool for eight years, has been touring the country for the past three months selling over 4,500 tickets and travelling over 5,000 miles so far. Now, as part of her 23-date Back to Black 10th Anniversary Tour she brings the UK’s most authentic Amy Winehouse tribute to Viva Blackpool for her homecoming show next Friday. Speaking about the show Emma said: “We can't wait to come 'Back to Blackpool' to perform our exciting tribute to Amy Winehouse. “After being on an O2 Tour of the UK we're ready to bring it home again to our amazing local audience. “Blackpool holds a really special place in my heart having trained there for many years and we can't wait show the Viva crowd what we've got.” In her short career Winehouse created a lasting impression on the music world, recording three critically acclaimed albums from her debut ‘Frank’ in 2003, the Grammy Award winning ‘Back to Black’ in 2006 and the posthumous ‘Lioness’ in 2011. Completing the Lioness experience, Emma is joined by a full seven-piece band recreating the heady mix of jazz, soul and pop that Winehouse was known for. The show brings together the best of her hits and takes the audience on the emotional journey of her songwriting, guaranteed to have everyone singing and dancing along throughout the night. The band are made up of hand-picked experienced musicians, carefully selected to maintain the accuracy to the original performances of the UK’s brightest star that so tragically burned out in 2011.
