A Comedy Night Not to Sniff At 21 March 2017 by Visit Blackpool DUST off your big, red noses because it’s that time once again… It’s the day, every two years when the nation’s favourite charity takes over our screens for a night of global charity projects, comedy sketches and celeb hijinks. To celebrate Comic Relief 2017, Madame Tussauds Blackpool is bringing a piece of the Red Nose Day action to its fully licensed Rovers Return Inn, on Friday 24th March. Prepare for a night of side-splitting entertainment in Coronation Street’s iconic boozer, with a variety of local comedians, hosted by Blackpool’s favourite compere, Buddy Lee. The open mic night will also see the talents of Kurtis King & Carl Schofield and Nicky Newsome. Tuck into a hearty Lancashire hot pot, buy a bevy and enjoy a night of laughter from 7pm onwards. Tickets are priced at £10 and all proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief. Matthew Titherington, General Manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: “We are proud to support such a great cause and what better way to do so, than with local talent. “We are looking forward to a brilliant night.” To get in the Comic Relief spirit, Madame Tussauds Blackpool has dressed up some of the North’s favourite comedians. Visitors can take a selfie and get up close and personal with Paddy McGuinness and John Bishop’s wax figures, adorned with this year’s signature red noses. So, this year head to the Cobbles for the ultimate night of charity cheer. Who nose who you might bump into…
