Register for Ride The Lights 2017 and you Could Win Big at Smyths Toys!

It’s the most enchanting bike ride you will ever take – and this is your chance to take part AND win a fantastic Smyths Toys prize package including a pair of children’s bikes plus a £200 Smyths Toys Superstores gift voucher.

Every year, thousands of people get on their bikes to take part in the annual Ride the Lights extravaganza. For one night only on the 29th of August, Blackpool Promenade will be closed to traffic and you can get a sneak preview of the world-famous Blackpool Illuminations.
 
Plans are already underway for this year’s event and we’re asking you to register for the event to keep up-to-date on news about Ride the Lights and once you do so, you will be automatically entered into a prize draw where you could win a pair of children’s bikes plus a £200 gift voucher, courtesy of Smyths Toys Superstores.

One lucky winner will be drawn at random on the  1st of August 2017 by VisitBlackpool.
 
The winner will receive two children’s bikes selected by Smyths Toys Superstores along with a £200 gift voucher to be spent in-store.


 
As well as getting the chance of a first look of this year’s Illuminations ahead of Switch-On, there is a whole host of entertainment at the Ride the Lights hub located on the Tower Festival Headland opposite The Blackpool Tower.
 
Blackpool Pleasure Beach will once again be taking part in the event, giving riders the opportunity to cycle through the park where they will be greeted by live music and costume characters.
 
Cllr Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “Ride the Lights is always extremely popular, every year more visitors flock to the resort to take part in this annual event.
 
“By encouraging people to register for the event, we can keep riders up-to-date with our plans for the 2017 event and if that’s not a good enough reason to register, you could be in with a chance of winning this fantastic family prize.”
