It's going to be a spooky Summer with Blackpool Ghost Walks 7 July 2017 by Visit Blackpool Local paranormal events company Supernatural Events is resurrecting its thrilling and chilling Blackpool Ghost Walks for the summer season. Throughout the holiday period join Haunted Blackpool author Stephen Mercer on a spooky stroll and hear about the town’s “darker” history and its many hauntings! Blackpool Ghost Walks take place from Friday 21st July to Sunday 29th October (see website www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk for full list of dates) and your host, the Victorian Ghost Hunter, will guide you along part of Blackpool’s Promenade and then into the town centre, stopping outside some of the resort’s oldest and most famous buildings and attractions where you will hear stories that will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck and make you question everything you thought you believed! On a Blackpool Ghost Walk there are stories of ghosts galore, tales of terror and horrifying hauntings, myth, mystery and the macabre! Supernatural Events’ founder and ghost walk host Stephen Mercer said, “I love taking people around the town telling them of our otherworldly residents and visitors. I’m really looking forward to the summer walks as I will be stopping at some new locations in the town centre where those attending will hear new stories never before told. Of course there will be a number of the old favourites too!” The ghost walks have gone from strength to strength and become extremely popular with both residents and visitors to the area. As well as the many public walks that take place, they can also be arranged as private walks for social groups, schools, societies and individuals. Following a recent ghost walk for members of the Civic Trust, Supernatural Events was awarded Honorary Membership. Stephen added, “I am regularly asked if the walks are suitable for children and the answer is absolutely yes! Blackpool Ghost Walks are family friendly. They are also fully accessible for all, so everyone is welcome to join me as we wander along part of our famous Promenade before winding our way around the town centre; stopping at some of Blackpool’s most important historic buildings and attractions to hear stories of ghostly goings-ons, eerie encounters, poltergeist activity spooky sounds and sightings, phantoms, witchcraft, shipwrecks and much more! It’s going to be fright-fully good fun and I can’t wait to get started!” Blackpool Ghost Walks have consistently been rated the “Number One Tour in Blackpool” by TripAdvisor for the past two years and continue to receive rave reviews both on TripAdvisor and various social networks. Blackpool Ghost Walks start at 7.30pm and begin at VisitBlackpool Tourist Information Centre on The Promenade. The outside walking tours last approximately one and a half hours finishing back on The Prom around 9pm. Tickets, which cost £6, £3.50 for under-16s and just £16 for a family of four, can be purchased in advance via www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk where you can also view a full list of ghost walk dates.
