This year’s event will open on Saturday 7 September with a display by the team from Nakaja Art in Poland, who have more than 25 years of experience of staging firework displays across Europe and Central America.

Week two of the competition, on Saturday 21 September, will see the team from Pyroman Finland Ltd display their artistry. The company, established 20 years ago, is Finland’s leading supplier of pyrotechnics and special effects.

The final display, on Saturday 5 October, will be staged by Great Lakes Fireworks from Michigan in the USA.

All displays are subject to suitable weather conditions. Details of this year’s competing countries and firing times will be announced nearer the time. Please check back for more information.

Due to the popularity of the World Fireworks Championship Blackpool, there may be traffic delays arriving and leaving the event.  Take extra time to arrive and we would recommend if travelling by car to park in the southern car parks and use the tramway to travel to the event.  If you are parking in the central areas, consider delaying your departure to avoid the initial rush and take time to enjoy some of Blackpool’s night-time attractions and hospitality. Alternative public transport via the rail systems and buses are also recommended.

The firework display takes place over the beach in front of the iconic Blackpool Tower. Take your place along Central Promenade between Central Pier and North Pier to watch the spectacle.

All displays are subject to suitable weather conditions. The event will build-up from 7.30pm with an approximate firing time of 8.30pm for each display.

Safety Note: Please be aware that tramway will be operational, so please ensure you stay a safe distance from the tramway.
