It’s not Christmas without a festive-filled show, which is why we’re delighted to see the curtain rise in all our established Blackpool venues to give us a sprinkling of joyful magic from the stage.
Here’s a list of all the Christmas pantomimes and shows set to take place in Blackpool in the coming weeks:
Aladdin
1 December – 1 January, 2024, at Blackpool Grand Theatre
Join Aladdin, his mother Widow Twankey and his brother Wishee Washee as they embark on a magical adventure and try to defeat the evil Abanazar and his plan to become master of the world. With help from the Genie of The Lamp and the Spirit Of The Ring.
Aladdin, sees the return of West End star and TV soap sensation Tom Lister (as Abanazar) joining comic and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steve Royle (as Wishee Washee)! Many will remember the incredible duo in their 2019 smash-hit panto Peter Pan in 2019!
Joining Tom and Steve is the wonderful Ben Harlow (Who most recently, played Kyle, the UPS Guy, in the UK & Ireland Tour of Legally Blond) as Widow Twankey, Mervin Noronha as Aladdin (The Wizard of Oz (Leicester Curve) Antigone (Regent’s Park); Wonderville (Palace Theatre) and Moo-Yi Kim as their very own priness Jasmine (Trained at Trinity Laban)
Will Aladdin save the day, will he marry the beautiful Princess Jasmine? Will the Genie be freed? Only one way to find out…

Beauty and the Beast Pantomime
2 November - 24 December 2023 at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Globe Theatre
Returning to Blackpool’s most highly-anticipated stage production of the year is influencer and TV personality Charlotte Dawson, alongside ITV’s weather presenter Emma Jesson and Simon Green AKA Betty Legs Diamond, who will be joining a fabulous cast of panto pros on The Globe’s iconic stage at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The story of Beauty and The Beast follows an arrogant young prince whose castle's servants fall under the spell of a cruel enchantress, who turns him into the hideous Beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. Can the beautiful Belle bring the withdrawn Beast out of his isolation, lifting the wicked spell?

Shrek The Musical
15 December – 26 December at Winter Gardens Blackpool
Get ready to leave your troubles Far Far Away and embark on an unforgettable adventure filled with laughter, love, and ogre-sized fun.
The show is set to a toe-tapping soundtrack, featuring fabulous songs like ‘I’m A Believer’, ‘Big Bright Beautiful World’ and ‘I Know It’s Today’. These tunes will have you humming all the way home.
Starring Theatre legend Antony Lawrence as Shrek, Strictly Come Dancing star Joanne Clifton as Princess Fiona, James Gillan as Lord Farquaad and Theatre favourite Brandon Lee Sears as Donkey.

VIVA The Santa Adventure
16 December - 24 December at VIVA Blackpool
Have you got what it takes to become an elf for the day and help Santa save Christmas? With Santa losing his jolly laugh, which also powers the sleigh to deliver presents, the elves start to worry and think Christmas is ruined…Then they devise a cunning plan and recruit help from the children in the audience and together they solve clues to find a way to save Christmas!

VIVA Christmas Party Nights
25 November - 22 December at VIVA Blackpool
Starring Leye D Johns, the comedy host, and the Viva cast of incredible singers, dancers and special guests for a packed festive night of fun. Sing along to all the Christmas classics at the top of your voice, dance to the best classic chart hits! Also, don't miss the after show party where the bars remain open, the music turned up and the dancefloor open to party into the late hours!

Christmas Party Nights at The Imperial Hotel

It's time to party at The Imperial Hotel who will be hosting five band nights for 2023, with some familiar faces and some amazing new talent!
