Getting the gang together to celebrate New Year's Eve can be a struggle when it comes to finding something fun to do, but there is so much to do in Blackpool for you to choose from!
Blackpool has a huge range of restaurants and bars to bring in the New Year with friends and family. We also have some more organised events to keep the whole family entertained. Take a look below at the range of options to bring in the New Year!
Family Party on the Prom
Ring in the New Year at Blackpool Promenade! Join us for a free family celebration on New Year's Eve from 3pm to 6pm.
Experience the lively LeylandHosen Bierkeller Band, decked out in lederhosen, performing in the Christmas By The Sea village on the Tower Festival Headland. There will also be a DJ, face-painting, circus skills, and children’s rides, themed food and drink cabins, and a free skating rink as part of the festive village. The event will culminate in a stunning fireworks and projection show from 5.30pm.
Timetable:
- 12noon: Opening of the Christmas By The Sea village and rink with a DJ playing music and giving away competition prizes.
- 3pm-5pm: Performances by the LeylandHosen Bierkeller Band with audience interaction and a selection of team games.
- 3pm-6pm: Face painters and circus skills
- 5.30pm (approximate): Countdown on The Blackpool Tower followed by a fireworks display and light projection show (Note: The fireworks display is subject to weather).
The festivities continue with the skating rink and Christmas village open until 9pm, and the iconic six-mile Illuminations display illuminating the Promenade from 4.30pm to 1am.
Join us again at midnight for a repeat of the countdown and New Year projection show on The Blackpool Tower (note: there will be no fireworks at midnight).
The celebration is being staged by the Blackpool Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) in conjunction with VisitBlackpool.
New Year's Eve Family Party at the Winter Gardens
The annual New Year’s Eve Family party at the Winter Gardens has become a tradition for many families, and now it's back to welcome in 2024 in style. The event includes a children's entertainer, DJ, fun party games, a live band, bouncy castle for the young ones and competitions.

In addition to the best of classic Northern Soul and Motown in the newly-refurbished Spanish Hall, they have now taken over the Pavilion as their home for Disco and Modern Soul classics, as well as the Old Vic bar to provide extra seating and increased bar service. With a DJ line-up guaranteed to keep those dancefloors packed all night, the Winter Gardens always bring in the New Year in style!
