Blackpool Pride FAQs

As with any major event, not only do we want you to have a fantastic time, but we also want you to have all the information at hand.

Below, we have rounded up some popular commonly asked questions about Pride Blackpool so you are fully prepared. 

Venue Safety and Security

Pride Blackpool has and always will continue to review security measures in conjunction with Blackpool Council, Lancashire Police and emergency services. Further enhanced security checks have also been put in place to provide reassurance and confidence and we advise you to arrive in plenty of time to pass through these additional security checks. 

Please support and cooperate fully with our team so we can efficiently carry out these measures to ensure safety and entry in time for the show. 

Can I bring a bag into the arena?

Please keep personal belongings to a minimum and only bring your essentials. Please do not bring backpacks of any size or large bags, as these will not be allowed into the arena.
 
You are permitted to bring small bags or handbags no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm (approx A3 size piece of paper).

Can I leave my bag in a luggage storage?

There will be no temporary storage facilities for items within the venue and it will be left to the patron to find a safe temporary facility to hold the item. Bags left in unauthorised surrounding areas will be disposed of immediately. The venue will not be responsible for late admission or non-admission as a result of this policy.

Where are the entrances to the Arena?

We will be operating one main entrance: North Promenade located behind the Beach House Bar & Bistro and Tourist Information Centre with entrance points as you approach from the North.

What items are not allowed into the arena?

Backpacks, holdalls, luggage, oversized bags and cushions. (Bags larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm will not be permitted)
 
In addition these items are also not permitted into the arena or anything else which we deem to ruin the enjoyment or viewing experience of others; 

  • Glass, cans, aluminium bottles or thermoses of any kind including liquid products which can be consumed.
  • Flammable liquids in any container
  • Laser pens/pointers
  • Professional video cameras, recording devices and cameras
  • Laptop computers, iPads, Go Pro’s or tablets with filming and recording capabilities
  • Large/golf/metal tipped umbrellas
  • Knives or weapons of any kind
  • Illegal drugs or substances
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Signs, banners or flags on poles, staffs or selfie sticks
  • Animals (except service animals to aid persons with disabilities)
  • Air horns, cowbells or other noise-making distractions
  • Projectiles (frisbees, beach balls, footballs etc)
  • Aerosol cans (hairspray, deodorant etc )
  • Fireworks, confetti or glitter bombs or sprays
  • Balloons
  • Use of wheeled footwear, skateboards
  • Food
  • Masks and helmets
  • Large studs and chains
  • Anything else which we deem to ruin the enjoyment or viewing experience of others.

What will be the process be with ID checks?

Children under 14 will only be allowed with an adult over 18. The adult may have to provide ID in order for the entire party to gain entry to the arena. A strict challenge 25 policy will be in effect across all bars. This will be stated at the point of purchase.  

Accessibile FAQs

Where are the entrances to the Arena?

We will be operating one main entrance: North Promenade located behind the Beach House Bar & Bistro and Tourist Information Centre with entrance points as you approach from the North.

People without tickets will be asked not to approach these areas and to collect their tickets first from Box Office before heading to the arena entrances, this will help us speed up the entry process.

A temporary box office is situated outside the arena on the Promenade opposite the Beach House Bar & Bistro and Tourist Information Centre. This box office will be available from 12pm only on a show day and will close 15 minutes after the main act has gone onstage. 

Tickets will also be made available from the Tourist Information Centre during normal operating hours.

What entrance is the best to use for access requirements?

There will be a separate lane for those with specific access needs located at the main entrance to the arena.  

How do I access my seats?

Pride Blackpool will have a raised accessible viewing platform located at the rear of the arena. Access to the platform will be via a ramp or stairs. Stewards will be on hand to assist if required.  

What if I need additional assistance during the show?

Please speak to a member of our stewarding team who are positioned around the venue.
