The Blackpool Tower Dungeon - The ‘Home of Halloween’: 1 October - 3 November
This autumn, The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is the Home of Halloween! Get dunked head first into 1000 years of grisly and hilarious history as the live actors and immersive sets bring Lancashire's past back to life. Hear how the Pendle Witch trials played out and witness the tortured soul of Alizon Device returning to the very place that she was sentenced to death.
The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is a uniquely thrilling attraction for the whole family to enjoy, where you’ll live and breathe Lancashire’s ‘orrible past. As you move from show to show you’ll see, smell and hear the gruesome history the county holds throughout this exciting, interactive adventure through the past, finishing with the ultimate Drop Ride to the Death… if you dare?
There are brand new shows, including a chance to join a Pendle Witch coven and avoid capture from the evil rogues outlawing witchcraft. All of this fun is included in the admission price.

Ghost train
Of course, no trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach is complete without a ride on the Ghost Train! Not only is this the world’s original Ghost Train, but in 2020 it celebrated 90 years since it first opened to the public. The ride is an historic hotspot in the park, but it also has an impressive paranormal heritage too! Home to ‘Cloggy’, the ghost who is said to be the spirit train operator has been widely reported to haunt the premises.
Built on two floors, this eerie Ghost Train takes riders through Dracula’s Den and into the bowels of the building for further hair-raising frights. It’s a family-favourite ride loved by generations, so make sure you pluck up enough courage to ride it.
Circus of Horrors: Adams Family (Family Friendly Show) - 24th October - 3 November
Circus of Horrors will take you on a rock n' roller coaster ride of amazing & bizarre acts with a special Adams family-friendly matinee at 4pm every day from 24 October. A circus like no other, the new SpecDracula will include an amazing phantasmaglorious amalgamation of acts, driven by a rock n roll sound scape.
It’s a performance that will have you sat on the edge of your seat when not falling off it with laughter – ideal for your little monsters.
Halloween Tails - throughout October
Hop into a rabbit-sized world of adventure this Halloween for a month of spooktacular fun and games with your favourite characters from the hit Peter Rabbit™ CBeebies TV show. Follow the trail that will lead you to Peter’s pumpkin patch for a Halloween hare-raving disco, where you’ll get to hop and dance to your favourite spooky tunes.
Explore and play through the world of Peter Rabbit. Crawl, climb and slide through Mr McGregor’s Garden, create pond music in Jeremy Fisher’s home, help Peter complete his chores in The Burrow and discover what inventions Mr Bouncer has been busy creating in his workshop, completing challenges along the way.

Haunted Hotel Tableau
While you are in the resort, why not check out the tableaux section of the Blackpool Illuminations? Amongst the giant tableaux, spot the Haunted Hotel with a devilishly spooky holograph in the middle of the display. The changing lighting effect with ghosts, goblins and flying witches, along with a musical accompaniment of classic Halloween songs like ‘Thriller’ and ‘Monster Mash’ make this a perfect family-photo opportunity for Halloween.
There are many ways you can view the famous Blackpool Illuminations. Aboard a piece of moving history and travel along the Golden Mile on an Illuminations Heritage Tram Tours or travel in your car along the twinkling glow of the promenade. Happy viewing!

Go ghost hunting
Join The Victorian Ghost Hunter on a spooky stroll as he guides you to some of Blackpool’s most famous and most haunted locations to hear of his friends - the spectres, the phantoms, the ghosts!
For 90 spine-tingling minutes, hear tales of terror and stories of the supernatural that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and have you question everything you thought you believed in!

Ghost Tram Tours - throughout October
The UK’s only ghost hunting tram tour returns for 2023 with a host of new stories to give you a thrill. Join Victorian Ghost Hunter Stephen Mercer for some spooky tales about the ghosts from the coast with Blackpool Heritage Tours and Supernatural Events’ The Ghost Tram.
Departing from the historic North Pier, the tour will take you down the coast towards Little Bispham as your ‘Host with the Ghost’ regales you with haunting tales and spooky stories. From Bispham, you will head deep into the heart of Blackpool and its history as you travel to Starr Gate before the final leg of your tour with your guide returning you to North Pier.
Each tour will start at 6.15pm, take approximately 75 minutes and can be boarded from the North Pier & Tower Heritage Tram Tours stop.
Pre-booking is essential. Adult tickets are £13 and child tickets are £7.
