We’ve all missed the simple pleasures in life of rounding up our nearest and dearest and dining at a restaurant or casual eating spot.
Whether it’s a hearty breakfast, spot of brunch, a three course evening meal or a sweet treat, this is all back on the menu for us now. Please note, however, that restaurants, cafes and bars in Blackpool are subject to the national 10pm curfew, so bear this in mind when making a reservation.
Know Before You Go: here are some handy tips when it comes to eating out in Blackpool:
- Check if pre-booking is required. This helps businesses keep a close eye on their capacity levels.
- Opening times may vary, so double check as it may vary from normal business hours.
- Keep your booking small. Blackpool is in Tier 3 of the Government's alert system, meaning you are advised against socialising in indoor public areas or most outdoor hospitality venues with those you do not live with. Please adhere to these restrictions.
- Plan your journey and travel to Blackpool safely.
- When you get to the venue, don't forget to check-in using the Test & Trace Government app.
- Lastly, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not visit.
Frequently asked questions
Are restaurants still open in Blackpool?
Yes, restaurants, bars and cafes are open in Blackpool. However, restaurants must close by 10:00pm each night, and are required to operate table service only. This is a national measure which came into force on 24 September. You may only visit with people from your household or support bubble, and will be required to check-in on the NHS Track and Trace app.
Can I still go to a bar, restaurant or cafe with people who don't live with me?
No. Blackpool is in Tier 3 which means you cannot mix in public indoor spaces or most outdoor hospitality venues with people outside your household or support bubble. In public outdoor spaces, such as the beach or park, however, the Rule of Six applies.
We're Good To Go
"We’re Good To Go” is the official UK mark to show that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow all of the Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines set out and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and to help with social distancing.
When you see the mark, which should be located at the entrance to the business, you'll know that they have taken the necessary measures to keep you safe.
