48 hours in Blackpool

With 48 hours to enjoy Blackpool, you had better buckle up for one fun-packed ride! Whether it’s white knuckle thrills, brilliant attractions and world class entertainment, you will have no problem at all filling two action-packed days in the UK’s favourite beach resort.

Day 1


After you’ve checked into your hotel, plunge into the mysteries of the deep at SEA LIFE Blackpool. There’s everything from ocean predators to seahorses and if you’re feeling really brave, why not take a dip into one of the deep tanks and actually swim with the sharks!

If you’d prefer to actually get wet and wild yourself then head to Sandcastle Waterpark – the UK’s largest indoor waterpark. The Sandcastle features more than 18 thrilling slides and attractions including fun pools, wave machine, water chutes – all basked in an 84-degree tropical climate.

After you’ve dried off why not experience a delicious afternoon tea in The Tower Ballroom and then work off all those scones and sandwiches by taking to the floor and dancing to the sounds of the mighty Wurlitzer Organ.

If you prefer the outdoors then head to the beach with a picnic or take time out to enjoy one of Blackpool’s fabulous eateries. Whether it’s champagne and oysters or fish and chips, Blackpool can offer you every type of food that you could ever wish for.

Beach House Blackpool

It’s impossible to visit Blackpool without taking in one of the resort’s fabulous shows. Blackpool comes alive at night and with breathtaking theatre, awe-inspiring circus and variety, and some of the greatest bars and clubs in the UK, you will not be disappointed.

If you’re visiting during the Illuminations period, a drive down the Promenade is a must!

Now head back to your hotel for a good night’s rest, you’ll need all your energy for the day ahead.


Day 2

 

After breakfast it’s time to get ready for an action-packed day.

For the thrill-seekers among you Blackpool Pleasure Beach is an absolute must. Boasting more than 125 rides the Pleasure Beach has something for everyone with family rides, fantastic white-knuckle experiences and the UK’s only Nickelodeon Land.

The park is also packed with a variety of restaurants and shows so you’ll be assured of a great day out which can be extended into the evening.

For animal lovers why not head out for a visit to Blackpool Zoo.  Home to more than 1,500 exotic animals including, lions, tigers and elephants, the Zoo is a great place for young and old, families and couples.

Simply wander around the beautiful parklands and enjoy watching the animals in a natural habitat or take the chance to get up close with them. Blackpool Zoo offers visitors a variety of experiences including the opportunity to feed the big cats and giraffes and you can even try your hand at training a sea lion.

For total contrast and a perfect end to the day, head to South Beach opposite the Pleasure Beach where you can stroll along the 2km stretch, taking in the unique pieces of modern art that make up the Great Promenade Show.

And don’t forget, once you’re feeling relaxed and rejuvenated after a packed day, Blackpool still has a buzzing nightlife waiting for you to enjoy your last night in resort. With so many restaurants to try, serving an array of dishes you’re sure to find something to suit everyone.

There are pubs, bars and clubs for every taste making it the perfect end to a wonderful two days in Britain’s capital of fun.
