Christmas Shopping

It’s time to tick off your Christmas list! Head to the shops rather than the keyboard and help support the high street this festive season.

Shop to your heart’s content in the town centre filled with an abundance of high street retailers and independent shops, handily located a short stroll away from our Christmas By The Sea village.

Enjoy the Christmas cheer and come to town this Christmas.

Houndshill Shopping Centre

Located in the heart of Blackpool, Houndshill Shopping Centre is home to more than 50 stores, including Primark, New Look, Footasylum, Sketchers, Jack Jones and River Island. New for Christmas 2023 Frasers, offering an unrivalled range of Flannels, Sports Direct, Game and Evans Cycles.

Late Night Shopping

Houndshill Shopping Centre will be open until 8pm on Thursday7, 14 & 21 December.
Houndshill will be open from 9am-5.30pm on other days Monday to Saturday and from 10.30am-4.30pm on Sundays.

Whether you're an early elf or a last-minute Santa dasher, Houndshill has a wonderful choice of popular high street retailers and independents to find all you need to tick off your Christmas list (Santa's too!).

Endlessly trawling through websites and waiting days for your delivery just isn’t fun during the festive season. Whereas Christmas shopping in all your favourite stores amidst a dazzling festive backdrop, picture-pretty window displays and the bustling high streets brings a festive feeling like no other.

Independent Shops

The streets surrounding Houndshill are also packed with High Street staples like M&S, Clintons, The Body Shop, and Holland & Barrett.

For something a little leftfield, head to Abingdon Street Market which has undergone a £3.6m renovation. Newly opened on 10 November, the retail side of the market will offer sweet treats, contempory homewear, vintage clothing, artwork and photography and much more. After all that shopping, head into the food section for a bite to eat.

There’s also our Tourist Information Centre at Festival House on the Promenade for all your Blackpool memorabilia. Here you will find an array of seaside stocking fillers, including Christmas ceramic mugs, I Love BPL Hoodies, travel cups and a range of delicately handmade Christmas baubles from a local artist.

Christmas Cabins

Back for a third year, the Tower Festival Headland is adorned with cosy wooden cabins selling unique gifts, food and drink. For more information on our Christmas By The Sea offering, please click here.

Need a break from your retail therapy? Blackpool has a superb selection of cafés including Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Caffé Nero in Houndshill Shopping Centre. For a spot of lunch or dinner, head to Cedar Square where you’ll find a collection of independent cafes and restaurants, including Stefani’s, an award-winning wood-fired pizza restaurant; Ziggy’s Café Bar; and Number Five for delicious coffee and cake.
