With fast-paced lives, we can sometimes forget to dial back the high-octane living and just spend some quality time with the people we love. Blackpool has a long history of couples honeymooning in the shadow of the beautiful Blackpool Tower and paddling together in the sea.
There are plenty of romantic spots for date night that offer a unique dining experience. Find some of our favourites below.
Love a local dining spot
A lavish meal in a michelin star restaurant is certainly an evening to remember, but sometimes the best way to spend quality time with your loved one is in an intimate setting with delicious, high-quality food that doesn’t cost the world.
Blackpool has a plethora of secret gems and small independent dining spots to tempt you. Try a delicious homemade pizza from Stefani’s in Cedar Square, share a gigantic 18 inch pizza at Dirty Blondes, treat yourself to a juicy steak at Bank Bar and Grill, experience the town's smallest wine bar with a mouth-watering charcuterie board at Nook on Cheapside, or, for a license to thrill, sip a cocktail in the sophisticated Spyglass Bar on the Promenade.
If you prefer a wine and fine dining experience, try the classic The White Tower Restaurant at Blackpool Pleasure Beach or head to The Upper Deck Bar and Grill in Grosvenor Casino and expect a contemporary yet classic selection of dishes in the Art-Deco inspired restaurant.

The Beach House Blackpool
There’s nothing quite like watching a spectacular sunset with your loved one sat beside you. Located in between North Pier and the Tower Festival Headland, The Beach House offers unparalleled and instagrammable views across the Irish Sea.
If cocktails are your thing, you’re in for a treat! Sip on a Strawberry Colada over dinner, enjoy a cool glass of prosecco or try one of their signature mocktails, perfect if you’re the designated driver for the evening.
Their extensive food menu with a Mediterranean feel and the vibrant dining atmosphere means there’s something for everyone. It’s no wonder the venue has a high rating across TripAdvisor and Google reviews!

The Blackpool Tower Ballroom
Come and experience the magic of Blackpool’s amazing history in one of our most romantic spots - The Blackpool Tower Ballroom which was designed by the legendary Frank Matcham and opened in 1899. It's recently reopened for the season, boasting a £1million restoration and the original sprung dancefloor after stripping back 100 layers of lacquer.
Never danced in a ballroom? You don’t need to be a championship dancer, just hold each other close and hope for the best. Whether your other half loves heritage, culture, dancing or a spot of champers, they’ll be delighted to be brought here for a special treat.
Grab your partner to whirl across the dancefloor or watch others gliding past and enjoy the sounds of the Wurlitzer Organ amidst this spectacular setting with a delicious afternoon tea. The afternoon tea includes sandwiches, cream scones with clotted cream and jam plus a choice of cake from the daily selection with a freshly brewed pot of tea or coffee.
The best time for a date at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom is Valentine’s Day, as the afternoon teas are themed especially for couples, but if you’re visiting any time of the year, make the experience more special by adding champagne to your feast. Prices for the afternoon tea experience start from £50.00 for two, and can be booked here.
